SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Red flag warnings have been issued for two areas across western South Dakota.

The first warning shown in brown is in effect for Corson, Dewey, Jones and Stanley Counties Monday through midnight.

The second warning is in effect for Bennett, Custer, Fall River, Haakon, Jackson, Meade, Mellette, Oglala Lakota, Pennington, Perkins, Todd, and Ziebach Counties Monday through midnight on Wednesday.

Forecast: Fire Weather Warning West River; Rain chance Wednesday

Critical fire conditions such as strong winds, low humidity and warm temperatures are occurring now or will shortly. The combination of extremes creates fire hazards.
