SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — We are watching showers and thunderstorms in the forecast today and tomorrow, with the potential for spots of locally heavy rain in the forecast.
There will be a marginal risk of severe weather this afternoon in far southeastern KELOLAND. We are not forecasting widespread severe weather, but a few cells could be strong to severe within the outlook area shaded in green.
The first thundershowers of the day have been developing in patches across central and northern SD.
Futurecast hints at a broken line of thunderstorms moving eastward today toward Sioux Falls after the lunch hour. We think more activity will redevelop behind this line by this evening, with a good chances of thunderstorms north of I-90 tonight. More rain chances will develop tomorrow.
Here is the look at the forecast.
