Storm Center PM update: Midweek rain for some; Seasonably mild

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Veterans Day, overall, has been rather pleasant across KELOLAND…though it was noticeably cooler compared to Sunday.

Monday will be the exception to the rule as we go through the next week. With a lack of cold air to the north, above average temperatures will stick around for at least the next seven days. Average highs for this time of year are in the mid to upper 40s…we’ll be closer to that overnight at times while highs rarely dip below 50.

We’ll stay dry for a little while longer before our first chance for rain comes along later on Tuesday. In fact, this first chance is also our only chance for the week. Rain moves in later Tuesday, with better chances for rain on the way for Wednesday if you’re east of the James River valley. Keep this in mind with any midweek plans.

After that, we dry out and stay pretty quiet through at least Sunday. Later in the evening, though, cloud cover increases once again. Rain will begin to move in from south to north as we head through your day next Monday…with better chances overnight into Tuesday.

Beyond the 7 day forecast, odds for above average temperatures remain favored to the northeast, but the grip loosens elsewhere. Equal chances for above and below average temperatures are in place as we head into late November.

Here’s a look at your extended forecast:
