SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — After a warm November, seems like we jumped right into more typical weather as temperatures have fallen to the 30s and 40s with lows in the teens and 20s.
It may seem colder to you as we’re not used to this type of cold yet, and there’s even colder air on the way starting as early as next week.
Hitting bullseye with Falls Park plan?
And it’s the cold air that will be monitored as we go through next week. As more cold continues to build to our north, we’ll watch to see when some of it breaks loose into the upper plains.
This particular forecast model brings the cold air in just after Thanksgiving, with lows for Black Friday morning in the single digits for some.
The afternoon doesn’t show much improvement and by the time we hit the evening, we’ll have temperatures in the teens.
Along with the cold air, we’ll have to time systems that move through the upper plains, as snow is a word that’s already been in the forecast.
