SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) – Sioux Fall Police were called to a deadly motorcycle crash that shut down part of 57th Street in southern Sioux Falls Sunday night.

Authorities say it happened blocks east of Cliff Avenue between Glenview Road and Ash Grove Avenue just before 6 p.m.

On Monday, Sioux Falls police spokesman Sam Clemens announced Joseph Allen Santucci, 20, of Sioux Falls died in the crash. Clemens said he was wearing a helmet, but witnesses estimated the speed Santucci was going was above 50 miles per hour, which is above the speed limit on 57th Street.

First responders arriving on scene found the man next to the road with a motorcycle nearby.

Authorities say the man died at the scene.
