2025 LifeScape MallWalk raises $100K

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – The Empire Mall is usually busy with shoppers during the weekend, but Saturday morning, it had a different focus.

More than 300 people laced up their shoes to celebrate $98,723 that was raised for LifeScape. 47 teams were apart of this year’s LifeScape Mall Walk, with several beginning their fundraising efforts in November. Money raised goes towards LifeScape wishlist funds.

“It can range from therapy equipment all the way to community day passes for activities to rent and food assistance,” LifeScape MallWalk organizer Anna Trosper said. “It really helps out a lot of people at LifeScape and a lot of families that we support.”

The 31st annual MallWalk was especially meaningful to first-time participant Bobbi Dibbern, who walked the halls with her surrogate son, Grayson.

‘Morally, ethically wrong’: Property issues continue

“Our family and I have taken on surrogate children at LifeScape, and we just find it really near and dear to our hearts to just go make a difference every day,” Dibbern said. “Even if that’s showing up at a mall walk super early in the morning, it makes a big deal in their lives.”

A group of runners with the Sioux Falls Area Running Club even showed their support for LifeScape by running an entire marathon around the mall that morning.

LifeScape is a non-profit organization that provides care for adults and children with varied needs.
