See which cities are experiencing a surge in rats due to climate change

A new study led by researchers at University of Richmond has revealed that growing rat populations are the world are closely linked to rising temperatures and urban expansion. According to the study, Washington D.C., New York City and Amsterdam all have seen significant growth, while Tokyo and New Orleans saw declines in populations. “The most concerning of these connections we found is the link between climate warming and rat trends, as global temperatures are beyond the control of individual cities," researchers stated.
