Persistent stormy weather pattern soaks parts of central, southern US. Here’s when it will end
A strong Atlantic ridge is fueling a stalled weather pattern that’s bringing daily thunderstorms, heavy rain, and cooler-than-average temperatures to much of the central and southern U.S. This setup is expected to persist for at least another week before hotter and drier conditions take hold over the southern US and the monsoon season begins in the Southwest.
