SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The South Dakota Attorney General’s office is planning a news conference Tuesday to announce indictments in connection with two inmate deaths, along with charges in connection with a recent disturbance in the Department of Corrections system.

Where are SD National Guard troops deployed?

There have been 12 inmate deaths in state custody this year.

The Department of Criminal Investigations has launched investigations into four of those deaths. The others were considered natural causes.
