Bank robbery in Eagle Butte ends in arrests

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) –Two suspects were arrested after they robbed the Black Hills Federal Credit Union on Tuesday.

According to a press release, at approximately 11:12 a.m., law enforcement was alerted to an ongoing robbery at the Black Hills Federal Credit Union in Eagle Butte.

By the time officers arrived at the scene, the two suspects, who were both wearing masks, fled from the scene in a black SUV with dealer plates.

The robbers headed eastbound on Highway 212, where police then engaged with a high-speed pursuit, which came to a controlled stop between mile marker 185 and 186. Both suspects were arrested by law enforcement without further incident.

No injury’s were reported, and law enforcement is investigating the robbery.
