SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Downtown Sioux Falls announced the long-awaited winner of the 2025 Burger Battle Wednesday morning.
Chef Lance was named this year’s winner. Their burger featured a patty, topped with slow roasted pulled pork, raspberry poblano BBQ Sauce, pickles, shoulder bacon, Swiss cheese and dijon mayo on a toasted Breadsmith onion bun. Served with house fries and a Mojo Dipping sauce.
The restaurant took a year off from the competition in 2024.
This is the 12th year of the competition. Last year, Crawford’s won.
50 years of The Compass Center
There were 39 entries this year, with burgers ranging in variety and price. DTSF CEO Brandon Hanson said there were over 84,000 burgers sold across all the participating restaurants. 19 people ate all 39 burgers.
The restaurant that sold the most burgers this year was Monks, ending the battle with 6,200 burgers cooked.
