SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — On Monday, police received a call from a woman at an apartment in central Sioux Falls.
“His behavior was concerning the victim. She called the police and then the officers were there to try to figure out what happened, if any laws were broken. And then the victim disclosed that there had been sexual contact between her and the suspect at that point,” said Sam Clemens with the Sioux Falls Police Department.

That suspect is 43-year-old Kyle Huff. According to court documents, he began sexually assaulting the victim when she was 17 years old. At the time, the girl lived in Kentucky with Huff and his wife Amanda. Court documents say during one incident Amanda stood by the bed and watched. The victim told investigators they moved to Sioux Falls around 2021 and the alleged abuse continued.
Police returned to the Sioux Falls apartment building on Wednesday because they couldn’t reach the victim by phone and were concerned for her safety. Police found the victim in a nightgown and asked her to come to the station for an interview which she agreed to, but she said she had no other clothing or shoes to wear.
During questioning, court papers say the victim told police that Huff sleeps in her bed and calls her “wifey.” She also said she had a child when she was seventeen. She denied that Kyle Huff was the dad, but says he’s listed as the child’s father on the birth certificate.
Following the interviews, the Minnehaha County States Attorney’s office issued a warrant for Kyle Huff’s arrest.
“…for three alternate counts of rape, rape in the second degree, third degree and fourth degree. That warrant carried a $200,000 cash bond,” said Clemens.
Both Kyle and Amanda Huff were booked into the Minnehaha County Jail on Thursday.
