Flume trail in Rapid City closed for maintenance

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A portion of the Flume Trail that runs through Rapid City will be closed starting Monday. Rapid City Parks and Recreation will be conducting tree maintenance on the portion of the trail that runs through the Hanson-Larson Memorial Park, between Founder’s Park and the bridge at Mountainview Road. The tree cleanup is expected to last several weeks. However, no date for re-opening has been announced. Access to M-Hill will not be impacted. Rapid City Parks & Rec is asking the public to use the paved path on the south side or Rapid Creek that runs parallel to Omaha Street.
