Former foster parent headed to prison on sex crimes

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man that KELOLAND News first reported on last year is heading to prison after pleading guilty sex crimes.

Court documents say 55-year-old Len Homelvig admitted to making child pornography by secretly shooting video under a bathroom door.

Snowy Monday impacting Sioux Falls area

Homelvig was sentenced Friday to 15 years behind bars followed by 5 years of supervision.

Homelvig was a foster parent when the charges were first brought up against him.

He pled guilty in October of 2024.
