SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – One local restaurant plans to help a grieving family after the death of a South Dakota State University (SDSU) football player.
Nathan White, 20, was a sophomore running back for the SDSU football team. He died in Brookings on Wednesday. Brookings police continue to investigate his death.
50% tax cut sought for owner-occupied homes
According to a social media post, the Hartford Dairy Queen will donate 30% of all Blizzard sales to White’s family on Monday, June 30.
The tragedy of White’s death hits close to the Hartford Dairy Queen, as the post said, “We have a son who plays football for the Yotes and will be 20 years old next spring.”
The upcoming 30% of Blizzard sales was inspired by the jersey number White would’ve had, #3, according to the post.
“… Nate would have had jersey #3 this season. That’s the same jersey number that both of our boys wore in high school for both football and basketball,” the social media post said.
