SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Human remains have been found by K9 teams in Jackson County.

According to a post on Facebook, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Jackson County K9 teams received information from outside authorities that lead to the discovery of human remains in Southwestern Jackson County.

Once the person is identified, authorities will notify next of kin.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
