Huzzah! Black Hills Renaissance Fest Finds New Home

STURGIS, S.D.— Polish your armor and dust off your corset the kingdom of merriment returns as the Black Hills Renaissance Festival opens its gates this weekend. A new realm awaits attendees this year at the Kickstands Campground near Sturgis. The event commences on Saturday and parts on Sunday. Much revelry is to be had on the larger festival grounds with performers, jousters, merchants and more!In previous years the festivities took place in Lead but as the event grew more space was needed. Founder & Co-Owner of Black Hills Renaissance Festival Shareece Tatum says, “We’re gonna just get bigger and better. Our dreams are to get permanent land and be able to permit buildings and have multiple weekends, but we gotta start small and go there.”
