LEAD, S.D. – The Lead County Sheriff’s office is searching for a missing UTV rider and is asking anyone with information about the woman’s or her UTV’s location to call them.Autumn Carrico left her home early Friday afternoon to go for a ride in the area between Maitland Road and Terry Peak. When she did not return home, her family began looking for her and called the sheriff’s office for assistance. Deputies, Lawrence County Search and Rescue, and Spearfish Search and Rescue began a search, assisted by the Lead and Deadwood Police Departments, and by South Dakota Highway Patrol operating drones.

Carrico is believed to have been riding alone. As of Saturday morning, she had not been located and the search continued.Anyone with information about Autumn Carrico’s location or about her UTV, a 2025 Honda TRX250, should contact the Lawrence County Dispatch Center at (605) 578-2230.
