SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — March is already shaping up to be interesting in the weather department.
Though the first couple of days of March have come in like a lamb, the lion is waking up and will try to make its presence known.
As a storm system moved through the area, it brought with it strong winds and a wintry mix. Give it a couple of days and we’ll soon return to highs in the 50s and 60s for the weekend as we wait for the next system.
And that next system will try to come through around the middle of the month, as models are already starting to pick up on something swinging through the central United States
Don’t be surprised if it ends up being just like what we are currently going through. Warm air for a couple of days ahead of the system, followed by a return to wintry weather, and then swinging the other way with warmer air a couple days after the system leaves.
It’s March after all, so these things are typical in KELOLAND. So buckle up as the weather swings back and forth for the next several weeks.
