One dead, one hospitalized in Minnehaha county crash

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – A single-vehicle crash Saturday morning left one dead and another injured. The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash around 1:30 a.m.

It happened in the area of 457th Avenue and SD Highway 38, according to a press release.

The vehicle was southbound on 457th Avenue, and appeared to not stop for the stop sign at the T-intersection. The vehicle then crashed into a tree grove.

The male driver was found dead at the scene, and a female passenger was airlifted to a Sioux Falls Hospital for serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash.
