Pierre celebrates 100th legislative session

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — South Dakota lawmakers past and present will be celebrating the state’s 100th legislative session in Pierre on Saturday.

The last day of the legislature was March 31st.

Noem taking heat for high profile photo ops

Lt Governor Tony Venhuizen, who served on the legislative committee that organized the event says it will be a great chance to celebrate something special.

“I think its the first ever held an official reunion of former legislators in Pierre.we have more than 400 people coming to Pierre to get together who served or worked with the legislature,” said Lt. Governor Tony Venhuizen.

Former pages and interns are also invited to the event at the capitol Rotunda.

A reception and dance will be held at the Ramkota Saturday evening. Tickets are 40 dollars
