SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — After a round of record breaking temperatures in parts of KELOLAND yesterday, the storm system this weekend is taking the weather headlines. And for good reason as rain, snow, and wind will all come back to the area.
This is the second storm system to bring moisture to KELOLAND this month, and we’ll only be halfway through the month by this weekend.
The next system will move through the central United States next week. The timing still needs to be worked out, but expect something around the middle of the week. This one will also bring another round of rain and snow. So through the first three weeks of the month, we’ll have three storm systems move through.
But before the next system gets here this weekend, temperatures will once again warm with highs returning to the the 70s both Thursday and Friday. With the higher temperatures in place, we’ll watch for things to start in the form of thunderstorms and then watch the switchover to snow Friday night and Saturday.
