SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is alerting residents to another circulating scam.

The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post that this time it is a person claiming to be Lt. Lord who is trying to scam residents. The caller will say the person is missed court or has a warrant to take care of by paying in gift cards or bitcoin. The sheriff’s office said don’t give such callers any information and hang up the phone.

The Facebook post said the office received at least a dozen calls from residents on Saturday about this scam method.
