SFPD investigating possible child abuse at daycare

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A licensed daycare provider in Sioux Falls has temporarily shut down as police investigate a possible child abuse Tuesday. 

According to a news release from the Sioux Falls Police Department, police were notified by the Department of Social Services about possible child abuse at Wildflower Academy on Lake Ave.

Parents with kids at that daycare were notified the daycare would temporarily shut down. 

Police say no arrests have been made at this time. 

According to DSS, Wildflower Academy is licensed to care for up to 151 kids.
