OMAHA, NE (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man died this weekend due to complications following his heart transplant.

Vanderloo had suffered cardiac arrest and two strangers came to his rescue.

Vanderloo underwent a heart transplant in Omaha last Wednesday. But his family has posted his body was too sick to handle the surgery.

Vanderloo died on Saturday, surrounded by his family.
