SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — Let it Fly in Sioux Falls will be closing its doors today, Monday Nov. 11.
The business is owned by former NBA player and South Dakota native Mike Miller. Let It Fly’s original location is in Tennessee, and there’s also one in Omaha.
Discounts, free meals at restaurants for Veterans Day
The sports bar announced its closure on Facebook Sunday afternoon.
The restaurant opened at The Bridges at 57th three years ago. The final day in business is scheduled Monday with closing at 5 p.m.
The sports bar had a partnership with the Summit League for activities during the league’s men’s and women’s basketball tournament.
In March of 2023, Al Lopez of Let it Fly told KELOLAND News there were conversations of opening a second location in South Dakota, a second one in Omaha, and another one in Mississippi. The KELOLAND News story said the first Let it Fly in Omaha was under construction as of March 2.
When the Sioux Falls location opened in July of 2021 it featured roughly 80 TVs inside and out and putting in some unique local features like a basketball court ceiling, an LED sports ticker and a bar covered with local sports headlines.
