SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It’s been a slow start to the snow season for many in KELOLAND. Yes, we’ve had snow showers from time to time, but many areas have had only light accumulations.

This is where I’m at with the snow prediction. We’ve had hit and miss light snow showers move through over the past couple of weeks. Enough to bring the total in Sioux Falls to 1.7 inches and Aberdeen to 2.5 inches. Pierre and Rapid City are coming in at a half inch and less.
You can follow along with how I’m doing in my prediction through our website on KELOLAND.com. On the page, you’ll find a lot of things winter, not only including our current total, but I’ll post videos about our extended forecast as well.
With the absence of any troughs in the western United States, the slow start to our snow in KELOLAND is something that will continue through the middle of the month or longer.
