HURON, S.D. (KELO) — The final basketball KELOLAND Sports Games of the Week will air Tuesday as two spots in the class ‘A’ state tournament are up for grabs.
First, #5 Lennox meets #12 Mobridge-Pollock at 5:30 p.m. Since that game is during the evening news, it will only livestream on KELOLAND.com.

The second game Tuesday will pit #8 Groton Area against #9 Winner at 7:15 p.m. That game will air on KELOXTRA (TV), KELOLAND.com and KELOLAND+. TV coverage will begin at 7 p.m.

DEFENSE ON DISPLAY
Three of the top 11 defenses in class ‘A’ will be on display Tuesday night.
Winner owns the fourth best scoring defense at 43 points per game. Groton Area is just three spots back, allowing 45 points per game.
The other game will see Lennox’s defense, which sits 11th in the class, allowing 46 points per contest.
#5 LENNOX ORIOLES
The Lennox Orioles earned the five-seed in the SoDak 16 and fittingly so, as they closed the year as the fifth-ranked team in class ‘A’.
The Orioles haven’t lost since January 25. Their win streak is up to 11 games. They’re 18-4 on the season.
Lennox’s lost to a pair of top-ranked teams in South Dakota (SF Christian) and Iowa (Western Christian). They also lost to West Central and Clark/Willow Lake.
#12 MOBRIDGE-POLLOCK TIGERS
Mobridge-Pollock is in the SoDak 16, following a 66-54 win over Stanley County is the region playoffs.
The Tigers are 14-8 this season and carry a three game win streak into the SoDak 16.
Despite not being in the same region, Mobridge-Pollock has played two of the teams on display Tuesday. They suffered a 15 point setback to Groton Area and a 54-51 loss to Winner.
#8 GROTON AREA TIGERS
Groton Area enters Tuesday’s game on a six game win streak, bringing their overall record to 16-5 on the season.
The Tigers score 64 points per game, top ten in the class. That gives them a 19.7 scoring margin, which is fourth best in all of class ‘A’ basketball.
Four of Groton’s losses came to teams in the DakXII including Lennox, Vermillion, Dakota Valley and West Central. They also lost to #2 Hamlin.
#9 WINNER WARRIORS
Winner has won each of their last six games, entering the SoDak 16 with a 16-5 record.
The Warriors have lost to Dakota Valley, Parkston, Lyman, Gregory and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte.
Winner is scoring 56 points per game, 26th best in the state.
