Storm Center PM Update: Warming Up into Easter Sunday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It was a very pleasant day across KELOLAND with plenty of sunshine and highs staying seasonable for this time of year. Winds stayed light as a high pressure system moved in from the north and that will continue going into the overnight hours.

Lows will be near average and in the 30s with very little cloud cover. It will be quiet and it will stay that way for most heading into the start of the week.

Temperatures will warm up to above average in western South Dakota tomorrow with mostly clear skies. Southeastern KELOLAND will start to see thicker cloud cover move in during the day as a low pressure system moves into the central plains. There is a slight chance for rain showers going into the evening.

We won’t get a break from rain chances for too long as another low pressure system moves in from the west Tuesday morning. It will be a quicker moving system and out of KELOLAND by the afternoon.

With on and off rain chances throughout the week, temperatures are going to continue to stay above average.
