Sunday Boredom Busters: November 10th

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — It’s the final day of the Dakota Angler Ice Institute at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. The Ice Institute includes tips from experts, plus portable and permanent ice shacks, augers, electronics, plus jigs and lures. The hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $7. Military veterans get $2 off the price of admission.

Palisade Lutheran Church in Garretson, SD is hosting a Harvest Fest fundraiser for the Rock County Food Shelf. Serving time goes from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is a free-will donation. Tickets for basket and bucket drawings cost $1.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Chamberlain, SD is hosting a Lutefisk, Meatball & Lefse Supper. Serving time is 4-7 p.m. Proceeds will go toward church missions and expenses.

Gift & Thrift at 10th & Bahnson in Sioux Falls is hosting a Holiday Open House. There will be Christmas items on sale as well as raffle prizes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Purchase locally-made holiday items at a Craft & Vendor Fair in Hitchcock, SD. It’s taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hitchcock Elementary School gym. A homemade soup and sandwich lunch will be sold in the community room.

Homestead Orchard near Parker, SD is hosting a free Chrysanthemum Show. Take a relaxing stroll through the greenhouse to see more than 80 varieties of mums from 1-5 p.m. You can also enjoy a free cup of coffee and sample some apples.

The Dakota Wind Quintet performs a chamber music concert on the campus of Augustana University in Sioux Falls. The concert is at 1 p.m. in the Hamre Recital Hall. Tickets are $10.

Open skating has returned to the SCHEELS IcePlex in Sioux Falls. The session runs from 1-3 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children. Skate rentals are $4.

Movies playing at the historic State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls include We Live in Time and Didi, both rated R and Mulan, rated G.

The Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium features T. Rex, Cities of the Future and Unseen Universe.

Enjoy a double-header of pro football action on KELOLAND TV. CBS Sports coverage begins at 11 a.m. Central Time with The NFL Today. Then, the Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs at noon. That’s followed by the Philadelphia Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys at 3:25 p.m.
