SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — This is it. Today will be the warmest day of the work week with many of us getting highs in the 50s. Even when the rain moved in, temperatures remained steady, but that will soon change.Once the wind picks up tonight, expect strong winds to last at least through Wednesday. The wind will help usher in much colder air. We’ll go from highs averaging at least 10 degrees above average for much of this month to numbers closer or even below our climate average.
That’s air we’re just not used to. So, it will feel much colder to some. It might be time to bring out the wind chill map later this week too.
Along with the colder air, we’ll watch for snow. Which shouldn’t be a surprise as we are well behind our first measurable snow of the season.
