Temperatures are expected to remain cold

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Snow will move through parts of KELOLAND for the first half of the weekend. Once the snow leaves, the cold air will take hold. So, get used to the term ‘wind chill’ for next week.

KPot is now open in Sioux Falls

While southern KELOLAND was able to sneak in another day with temperatures in the 30s and a couple of 40s, the temperatures will soon crash as much colder air returns.

As of Friday morning, Tuesday or Wednesday may end up being the coldest day in the short term.

And if you throw in the wind, wind chills will fall at least to the minus 20s.And if we go out further, wind chills will remain at least in the minus teens and minus 20s.

Of course, whatever snow we have on the ground next week will play a role in how cold temperatures get, but anyway, you look at it be prepared for well below-average temperatures.
