SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — We continue to make up ground for lost snow earlier in the season as more snow is in the forecast over the next couple of days.

Another hit of snow today in southeast KELOLAND. With the snow we had over the past week, it went from a brown landscape to white. And we’ll add to it too.
I’ll run through a couple of forecast models that are showing good agreement on our snow chances for Sioux Falls.
This first model is the European. As you can see, of its 50 forecast members, it lines up well with our snow today…this weekend…and again on Monday.
This is a look at the American model.
It too shows good agreement among its different forecasts to bring in snow this weekend and on Monday.
And finally, the Canadian model, you guessed it…also agrees with bringing in snow this weekend and early next week.
While we have a good agreement with the modeling, the question is how much should we expect. At the moment, I would say the amounts will stay light, maybe around an inch for the weekend. But we might be able to squeeze out a couple of inches on Monday. The one thing we do know, is…the cold air is here to stay through at least next week.
