VOTE: Better Modern Love Song – Halestorm vs. Papa Roach

Which modern rock love song do you love more – Halestorm’s “Here’s To Us” or Papa Roach’s “No Matter What”? As we are in the midst of Valentine’s Day week, Loudwire Nights host Chuck Armstrong is ready to pit the two modern era rock love songs against each other to see which one generates more, well, love.”Here’s to Us” is a staple in the Halestorm catalog. It was the fourth single released off The Strange Case Of … album, arriving as a single back in May 2013. It’s a different kind of love song, as the track was written as the group’s personal anthem. It speaks to their personal love and dedication to the band, through the good times and the bad, but it can equally be applied to any relationship that has stood the test of time.On the other side, you’ve got Papa Roach with “No Matter What,” one of the new songs added to 2010’s half-live, half originals album Time for Annihilation.  Released in June 2011, the song was a challenge to Jacoby Shaddix by his wife to write a song about their life and how they’re still standing through all of life’s difficult times. Much like “Here’s to Us,” it’s a nod to the fact that even the strongest of relationships face some difficulties.READ MORE: 14 Awesome Metal Love Songs That Aren’t BalladsSo which song are you feeling the love for?
