SIOIX FALLS S.D. (KELO)As sunshine returns to eastern KELOLAND this weekend, temperatures will be mild with highs at least in the middle 40s in parts of eastern KELOLAND. But this warmth is about to come to an end.
Things will start to change as we head into the new month. Our system that will bring rain and snow on Monday will start the trend of colder air which will last into the weekend.
But temperatures will crash shortly after the weekend, as you can see below average air moves into eastern KELOLAND. The core of the cold will be well to our east near the Great Lakes.
I think this will be the trend for January. Ups and downs in the temperatures through the month. Along with it, we’ll have to watch for systems to our northwest that will bring in chances for rain and snow.
