Warmest temps are on the way

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — After snow in southern KELOLAND Thursday night, a lot, or all of it will be melted by the time we’re done with this weekend.

The morning commute was a little messy for southern KELOLAND Friday morning as snow amounts ranged from 2 to nearly 8 inches of snow. Valentine was close to 8 inches. But as the sun came out late in the morning, snow was melting and the melting will continue through the weekend. In fact, we could get some areas to their warmest temperature so far this year.

Gov. Rhoden has signed 64 bills, including baby box bill

Many in KELOLAND have had a high at least in the 60s. Sioux Falls hit 60 twice, while Aberdeen, Pierre, and Rapid City have surpassed 60, while Watertown is still waiting to hit 60, Winner is well beyond with their highest temp at 73.

If we don’t get our warmest temps this weekend into early next week, by next Friday, March 14 I think it will happen. If this storm track holds true, 70 degree weather is on the table for many.

But, that system will bring a round of rain and snow with it. It all depends on the storm track, which we will watch closely.
