SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A lawyer who used to work for the U-S Attorney’s Office and South Dakota’s Attorney General’s office was back in court Tuesday.
The prosecutor called him a dangerous man who preyed on a young child and allegedly threatened her so she wouldn’t report it.
47-year-old Donald Tinklepaugh is charged with 21 counts of raping a child.
In court Tuesday Tinklepaugh’s attorney said the suspect was shocked and disappointed by the allegations.

He also asked the judge for a low bond, so Tinklepaugh could help with his defense.
The prosecutor called him a dangerous man who preyed on a young child and allegedly threatened her so she wouldn’t report it.
The judge set the bond at $750,000 cash only.
When KELOLAND News checked with the state yesterday, Tinklepaugh’s law license was still active in South Dakota.
